Delete your Harmonade account

You can delete your Harmonade account and its data yourself, from inside the app. This page explains the steps, what is removed, and what has to be kept.

Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us.

  1. Open Harmonade and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Open the menu in the top right corner.
  4. Choose Delete account and confirm.

If you signed in with Apple or Google, you are asked to sign in once more before the deletion runs. That confirms the request really comes from you. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Delete by email

If you cannot reach the app, for example because you lost access to your sign-in provider, write to harmonadestudio@gmail.com from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my account.

We may ask one or two questions to confirm you own the account. We act on verified requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your account and sign-in identifier.
  • Your email address, display name, username and profile photo.
  • Your projects, saved settings and creative choices.
  • Your recorded audio and video, including anything you posted to the community feed.
  • Your likes, comments, follows and the list of accounts you blocked.
  • The cached copies Harmonade kept on the device you used.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Purchase and billing records. Apple and Google keep the record of a purchase, and tax law requires the matching accounting records to be kept. They are held only as long as the law requires and are not used to build a profile of you.
  • Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups for a short period before those backups rotate out. It is never restored into the live service.
  • Safety records. Records of content reports and blocks are kept where that is needed to keep the community safe, with your identifiers removed.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your Harmonade account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, and only they can cancel one.

  • iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Harmonade → Cancel.
  • Android: Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Harmonade → Cancel.

Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account. Otherwise the subscription keeps renewing with no account attached to it.
